We’re downright giddy to introduce two long-awaited, oft-requested product features. User feedback plays a pivotal role in shaping our product plans, and these ideas came directly from students. Thanks, everyone, for taking an interest in improving the product with us. We couldn’t do it without you.
FOLDERS
You asked for a better way to organize your ballooning collection of study materials, so we built you a folder-based system to better organize your digital backpack.
Basic storage and organization goes down in basic folders – they’re grey. Connect a folder to a class at your school for fast access to classmates and shared study materials from other students with the same professor and textbooks. These Class Folders are blue, and connecting to them replaces our old Add a Class system. Create sub-folders to organize flashcards and notes for each chapter, exam, or whatever system you use to stay productive.
Better organization means less wasted time. And that’s a good thing. Look for more efficiency-enhancing featuring folders in the fall.
MORE SCHOOLS OR NO SCHOOLS. YOUR CALL.
Today’s student is often enrolled in multiple institutions. Sometimes, they’re enrolled in none. STUDYBLUE is proud to support every learner’s situation by accommodating multiple schools side by side with school-free organization. For example, you can now have one folder connected to your Anthropology class at UW-Madison and another connected to your Social Dance class at Madison College.
Are you studying ornithology flashcards to impress your birdwatching hobbyist friends? You don’t have to make up a fake school and class name. Stick with the basic folder (grey) and organize away. Good luck finding a Marbled Godwit.
APPLE & ANDROID APP UPDATES.
Those handy folders will be accessible from our mobile apps, too. Android and iOS users, look for app updates in the coming week. Housekeeping: we’ve closed up shop on our mobile website to double down on STUDYBLUE apps.
We’re grateful to have so many ideas coming in every day from students and teachers. Let us know what you think about the new functionality, and keep the ideas coming, at help.studyblue.com.
