Meet Alecia! She is studying for her Master’s degree in Social Work at Eastern Kentucky University. Alecia says not only does StudyBlue save her time, but it saves her money because she isn’t purchasing paper flashcards any more. Read more about Alecia and why she loves using StudyBlue!
What is your favorite feature on StudyBlue & why do you love it?
I love the quiz feature on StudyBlue because most of my tests in class are in the same format.
How do you incorporate StudyBlue into your daily/weekly routine?
I mainly used StudyBlue for my Psychology class last semester. After reading the chapters, I would define the terms on StudyBlue; it was a lot easier to do so than with physical note cards!
Do you have any advice or tips for students on how to use StudyBlue? Specifically for your major?
Make flashcards to specifically fit your class and major. A few of the terms we use in Social Work classes are not the same exact definition as on other flashcards in StudyBlue, so I tend to make my own flashcards. It may take a little more time, but it still is much faster to make online flashcards than me writing ones out!
What is your favorite StudyBlue flashcard deck?
What is your favorite website or blog to visit during a study break?
I love reading D.I.Y. blogs. That is one of my favorite hobbies; I get about 10 emails a day from different blogs.
Thanks Alecia for taking some time to talk with StudyBlue and for the great advice! We heart our students! If you’re interested in becoming part of “Studious,” please email molly (at) studyblue (dot) com.
