Studious: Sarah, California Polytechnic State University

Meet Sarah! Sarah is a student at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. She is majoring in Marketing Management and thinks of StudyBlue as the “sugar in my coffee and the chocolate on a frozen banana, and there’s really no reason not to use this site.” We were excited to chat with Sarah and see what else she had to say about StudyBlue.

What is your favorite feature on StudyBlue and why do you love it?

The StudyBlue Quiz Creator is all kinds of awesome. If you have a large set of flashcards, it’s great for giving you a brief overview of the material, while testing your overall knowledge of the subject being studied. You don’t have to do anything except make your usual flashcards, and it will create a random quiz. Kudos, StudyBlue.

How do you incorporate StudyBlue into your daily/weekly routine?

I think StudyBlue accomplishes what it set out to do: it makes life easier. It’s so easy to use the site during a not-so-productive class period. You don’t have to worry about pulling out a big thing of note cards that distracts everyone or agitates professors until they’re like, “Does that have anything to do with my class? Get out of here!”  In addition, the mobile app makes it easy to review notes at work, sitting outside, or walking to class in a last-stitch effort to cram some studying in right before the test. Again, it’s all pretty awesome.

Do you have any advice or tips for students on how to use StudyBlue?

The search tool is a great way to get a well-rounded understanding of a particular term or subject area. Initially, I used it just so I didn’t have to type out all the flashcards myself because I could just use other people’s cards, but I realized that the different flashcard results presented aspects of the area studied that others found important.

Is there anything else you would like to share with us?

StudyBlue is so smart and awesome and easy to use. It should definitely be used by any and everyone, at any age for any reason, and I can’t wait to see it grow and blow up with popularity!

Thanks so much to Sarah for taking the time to talk with us. We wish you the best of luck on finals! We heart our students! If you are interested in becoming one of our “Studious” please email jennifer (at) studyblue (dot) com.
