You: A talented, experienced Java developer with a passion for building robust and efficient Android applications. You’ve already got a few great apps in the store and are hungry to contribute to a mobile app that’s changing the way the world learns. You dive head first into new, challenging projects and don’t need water wings to keep yourself afloat. Coming up with fresh ideas for exciting new features and non-traditional layouts is something that gets you excited. You work well with others and you enjoy what you do.

The job: You will contribute to every aspect of StudyBlue’s Android products.

Responsibilities.

  • Designing, implementing, and supporting software solutions for StudyBlue’s Android offerings.
  • Working to build StudyBlue’s first Android Tablet experience.
  • Developing product closely with StudyBlue’s UX designers and API developers.

Must have.

  • 2+ years working with the Android SDK.
  • Proficiency with XML, web services, and JSON.
  • Professional experience coding server-side Java.
  • Comfortable working with JavaScript and HTML.

In addition, you should have at least one Android application in the Android Market. The application should have been coded and released by you. Sorry, calculators don’t count, unless they’re amazing.

Nice to have.

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience with implementing CSS.
  • Field archery experience with a compound bow.
