inject air
keep needle immersed in solution & fill with ordered amt of med
inject to see if any meds are trapped in the stem
tap stem gently to cause trapped med to return to base
break off ambule stem
draw amt required
1 mL - 3 mL
22 gauge 1 1/2 inch needle
Forearm & upper back
1 mL syringe w/ 25-27 gauge 1/4 to 5/8 inches long
volume of 0.1 ml or less
15 degree angle of insertion with the bevel up
