pigmented raised warty lessions, harmless

aka seborrheic dermatitis - scaly, in eybrows and hairline`

occur on exposed skin

first small, reddened areas and then raised, rough yellow to brown lesions

could be malignant

shouldn't be confused with seborrheic keratoses

can come from actinic keratoses

1st flesh colored nodule later reddened and scaly

could be hard and warlike w/ grey top and horny texture

could be ulcerated with raised opaque border

R/T sun exposure

usually found on the head

high chance of metastasis

percipitatd by light exposure, more prevalent in light skinned races

grows slowly

superficial / sharply marginated plaque / raised pearly border

appears on trunk

common skin carcinoma

r/t autonomic nervous system

core temp is = <95 degree

less perception of cold and decreased O2 consumption

nodules on distal interphalangeal joints

osteoarthritis

nodules on proximal interphalangeal joints

osteoarthritis

choking, difficulty swallowing
