the one and only supreme god, believed in by Akhenaten, also the sun god, not allowed to draw him or statue unless he was literally a sun

Non-Aryan class, have all the dirty jobs, work the hardest

Indra

storm god, war god, give credit for leading victory over dasas

Shang

name of the capital city, name of the dynasty, and name of the ruler of the dynasty

· Nature of the Shang Polity- king became king by being qualified (being able to talk to the spirits)

Shamanism

the practice by which people speak with the spirits (like dead ancestors)

the high one, or most high, not the only god, the top god, sometimes they call him Shang Di, rules over all other gods, determined the outcome of battles, not easy to communicate with him

believed to be a Bard who lived around 800, his stories come from the Dark Age, dark age is the society reflected in his poems, doesn’t know that the Mycaeneans had writing
