Epigastric

Left lobe and medial part of the right lobe of the liver.
pyloric portion and lesser curvature of the stomach. superior and descending portions of the duodenum .body and superior portion of the head of the pancreas. right and left adrenal glands

Right hypochondriac

right lobe of the liver, gallblader, superior third of right kidney

left hypochondriac (aka splenic)

body and fundus of stomach, spleen, left colic flexure. superior 2/3 of left kidney, tail of pancreas

Umbilical

middle portion of transverse colon, inferior part of duodenum, jejunum, ilieum, bifurcations (branching) of abdominal aorta, inferior vena cava

Right lumbar

superior part of cecumascending colonright colic (hepatic) flexure inferior lateral portion of right kidney, small intestine

Hypogastric (pubic)

Urinary bladder when full, small intestine, part of sigmoid colon

Right iliac (inguinal)

lower end of the cecum, appendix, small intestine

left iliac (inguinal)

Junction of descending and sigmoid parts of colon, small intestine

Oral

teeth and tongue

Nasal

located within the nose and divided into the right and left portion of the nasal septum. several air filled sinuses are associated with this cavity. Frontal, Sphenoidal, Ethmoidal, Maxillary.

Orbtial

contains the eyes, associated muscles and nerves

Thoracic and Abdominal Membranes

Paretial membrane - membrane attached to wall of a cavity. Visceral membrane - membrane associated with and internal organ. Pleural - lungs Pericardial - heart Peritoneal - abdominal wall

Axial portion

head, neck, and trunk

Appendicular portion

arms and legs

Dorsal body cavity

near the posterior portion of the body

cranial cavity

formed by cranial bones containing the brain

vertebral cavity

formed by the vertebrae containing the spinal cord

Ventral body cavity

near the anterior portion of the body, its walls are composed of skin, connective tissue, bone, muscle, and the serous membranes. The organs within this cavity are called viscera. the two major portions (Thoracic and Abdomninopelvic) are split.

Thoracic cavity

chest cavity. superior half, further divided up into two pleural cavities.

Abdominopelvic cavity

lower cavity, can be divided in many ways.
