Equailty in labour is not the same as whos running the household. Rural poverty is inefficient and resulted increase in population. the people used new farming methods such as the Three field system which resulted in more harvesting over the year they gained a muc h better human diet, how they did this was a result in keeping more land in three sections 2 for crops the third for oats for the horses/oxen and themselves for soil for each seasons. Agricultural settlements restored population. Draining swamps and clearing forsets brouight new cultivation.
Mines and Mills
Before 1500 more in latin west in mediveal Europe there were inventions like the mill powered by the wind or water to grind grain, olives, saw logs, leather, make paper, etc...The water wheel made sure dams or rivers held a steady flow of water from the flow of rivers. Civic Life:
The civic life assosiated guilds that are craft speacialties with the bonus of apprentices being trained. Male dominated the guilds and jews/ outsiders. Females however can be part of the guild by joining themselves, family owned of male guild owners . The women even became wealther by marrying rich men. Chaucer even mentions this from Canterbury Tales.
Peters Pence: the collections taken annually by every church in latin west . Medici operated the banks of italy london flanders and controlled the government of florence a patron of art. The Fuggers had 10times the medicis banks leading capital. They started as cloth merchants also invented a profit from loans.
Gothic Cathedrals is an architecture wonder with pointed arcs replaced from old ones this was meant for the cathedrals to be tall and reach the heavens and a dazziling religious setting but people who built them were poorly educated in mathetics and if they miscalculated then the churchs would collapse.
Renaissance
The mid fourteenth century the pace of intellectual and artistic life quickened. started in northern italy then northern europe.
