rational system
language, logic, systematized facts; breaks things down. evolutionarily newr. slower, deliberate
Experimental System
tied close to raw emotion, reacts to the whole situation at once, and is linked closter to how "lower" animals think
-fast or instantaneous: can also produce intuition, insight, and wisdom

things that the person finds emotionally meaningful, ties w/family, long-time friends; think more about the good in life and less about the negative
