Circumstances can also shift our perspective on ourselves. If forced to focus on ourselves and not environment it makes us more sensitive to our attitudes and dispositions.

We observe others from a different perspective then we observe ourselves

cultural differences (awareness)

We are taught differently and look at situations form different views therefore have different explanations. I.E collectivism vs individualism

Self fulfilling prophecy

belief that leads to its own fulfillment.

peoples social expectation’s lead them to behave in ways that cause others to confirm their expectations
