Bandwidth
a bit rate measure of available or consumed data communication resources expressed in bits/second or multiples of it (kilobits/s, megabits/s etc.).
Bitmap
a type of memory organization or image file format used to store digital images
Clip Art
refers to pre-made images used to illustrate any medium.
Compression
to reduce irrelevance and redundancy of the image data in order to be able to store or transmit data in an efficient form.
Copyright
a set of exclusive rights granted to the author or creator of an original work, including the right to copy, distribute and adapt the work.
Drop Shadow
a visual effect consisting of drawing that looks like the shadow of an object, giving the impression that the object is raised above the objects behind it.
Feathering
to smooth or blur the edges of a feature
File Format
a particular way that information is encoded for storage in a computer file.
Float
description of a figure that indicates it can be placed anywhere on the page
Graphics
are visual presentations on some surfaces
Inline
describes frames that are put in the text and must stay in the text

A way someone with a copyright can provide use
Lossless
allows the exact original data to be reconstructed from the compressed data.
Lossy
data encoding method which compresses data by discarding some of it.

Making changes to the image without actually affecting the image

Rasterizing
