Liberal Democracy
a consitutional government characterized by popular rule, protection of basic rights, and political and economic competition
Liberalism
a political ideology that favors government intervention in the interest of public welfare, social justice, and fair play
Laissez- Faire

Representative Government
the system by which representative leadership selected by electorals act on behalf of the citizens
Direct democracy
The system by which citizens vote directly on matters of public policy instead of electing representatives
