a reflection of an organizations identity

Identity

the actual manifestation of the company's reality as conveyed through the organizations name, logo motto, etc. and all other tangible pieces of evidence created by the organization and communication to a variety of constituencies.

Constituent

a person who authorizes another to act in his or her behalf, as a voter in a district represented by an elected official.

Crisis

a major catastrophe that may occur either naturally or as a result of human error, intervention or malicious intent creating either tangible or intangible devastation.

Corporate Advertising

The paid use of media that seeks to benefit the image of the corporation as a whole rather than its products or services alone.

The Characteristics of Crisis

1. Element of surprise
2. There is insufficient info
3. There is a quick pace of events
4. There is intense scrutiny

Reputation

The estimation in which a person or thing is held, especially by the community or the public generally
