What is the purpose of the preamble?
Outlines the purpose of the constitution. It will address justice, defense/protection, rights of the people, plans for the future, and structure of the government.

Gives citizens the right to bear arms (debatable)

Gives citizens a right to a speedy and public trial

No cruel and unusual punishments can be inflicted, bail is not required, and excessive fines cannot be imposed
