A prejudice in which people are categorized and judged soley on the basis of their chronological age ex: all old people are bad drivers

A person who have lived 100 or more years

Gerontology

The multidisciplinary study of old age who are studied in there homes and communities not in say a hospital or nursing home

Geriatrices

The medical specialty devoted to aging, this is usually in a hospital setting when nurses and doctors realate illness to aging

Compression of Morbidity

A shortening of the time a person spends ill or infirm accomplished by postponing illness

the component of the infomation processing system in which current conscious mental activity occurs it is aols9o known as short term memory

The component of the information processing system in which virtually limitless amounts of information can be stored indefinitely
