Split-brain patients also support language lateralization in that messages sent to different sides of the brain result in different responses. A third example of evidence is found through hemeispherectomy-, a procedure where half the brain is removed. In many cases, children who have undergone this procedure experience aphasia and go on to learn language in a very foreign way. 9/11/08 1:30 PM 9/11/08 1:30 PM
