Instructions for Downloading AutoCAD Go to HYPERLINK "http://students.autoesk.com" http://students.autoesk.com On the left, under ?How do I sign up,? click on ?new member registration page? Enter all your information (note that Arizona has its own time zone) and be sure to use your ASU email address. Autodesk will send an email to your ASU address with an activation link. When you click on the activation link, you will be directed to a welcome screen. The bottom of the screen has an option to go to the website. Click on the ?Software Downloads? option on the left menu. If there are no programs available for download, wait a few minutes; try searching for some things on the homepage first, then try again. (This is what happened to me.) Click on ?download? under AutoCAD Civil 3D Click in ?Download Using the Autodesk Student Community Downloader? and follow the prompts. On the last step of the prompts, make sure you have checked the box to open the program once the set-up is complete. When the downloader is open it will ask you to enter your user name and password. This is your username and password on the Autodesk system, not on the ASU system. You will want to choose to download AutoCAD Civil 3D 2009 (English). Note that ASU computers are equipped with AutoCAD 2009. Once you have selected the appropriate program, click ?Next? and follow the prompts. Don?t forget to write down your serial number! Once you have followed all the prompts, install the program. This may take a while. When you start the program you will be asked to input your serial number and get an activation code. You have 30 days to get this done. Input the serial number and when the log-in screen appears, make a NEW log-in. This is not the same as the user name you have on the Autodesk Website.
