Hard news keep shrinking Opinion based journalism has its role but reporter journalism should be part of Time Warner and CNN Simply passing on rumors is not journalism, telling people what they want to hear is not journalism 60 Minutes ( most popular news program ever ( audience aging like that of all network news ( Internet for future Mixes soft and hard news 60 minute posting online yahoo softer news like Tiger Woods funny news ( info snack to read a piece and follow links but not hard news Revenue coming to CBS as a whole is coming from Internet Barely breaking even on the internet Uneconomic underpinning on internet these days is changing because audience is changing Audience is much more in command of what they want in demand Google ( worth 148 billion dollars ( has become a key link connecting Americans to their news Being online is the future ( change is just a fundamental change miss what?s really going on Rocket Boom ( short daily webcast of mock daily news style 4,000 daily downloads per video Has as many news viewers as regular news Only need tape two lights a camera etc?
