Gay Stereotypes -Being gay is a choice -Males: Effeminate, cross-dressing. -Working at fashion/salon industry -Feminine activities (cheerleading) -Associated with AIDS -Promiscuous -Left-leaning (Liberal) -Bisexuals are greedy; they don?t know what they want. -Gay men shop a lot -Bisexuals are confused -Gays act like women. -Gays are in pursuit of heterosexuals; gay men are sexual predators. -Affects participation in institution in society: Don?t Ask, Don?t Tell policy. -Why do people want to join the military: sense of patriotism, duty, guaranteed job, college tuition, other such guarantees (self-sustain), wanting to serve one?s country, honor -Lesbians are masculine; if a lesbian doesn?t fit the stereotype of masculinity, then they?re ?not lesbian? -Their goal is to ?convert? heterosexuals. -Gays are physically/emotionally weak. -Gays are into being drag queens. -Gay men are the best friends of women. -Gay men are flamboyant. -Softball players are lesbians -Gays have lisps when they talk. -Gay men are theatrical (dramatic) -Gays make poor parents. -Difficult for a gay child to have a normal life. -Gays wear tight clothes -If children are raised by gay parents, they?ll become gay -Gays are not religious.
