- Ishtar Gate The Ishtar Gate c 604-562 BC. You see color now. Brilliant Blue. The animals are lions, bulls, and Lamassu. Tile work, tremendous amount of power to pull it off. There are also a lot of rosettes that fill the space. A lot of it is reconstructed. It's HUGE.
