Income- Economic gain in the form of money from wealth and labor

Power
The ability of individuals and groups to achieve desired ends, despite resistance from others
-Power is exercised through: networks, National and local elites with connections between elites at both levels
Occupation
Measured by prestige levels-society wide rankings
Education
Big part of cultural capital and the best predictor of social class
-Related to both income and occupation (blue collar vs. low level white collar vs. managerial & professional)
Status inconsistency
Higher on one of the three, but lower on the others
