contract documents
describes the work included in the contract to the construction or FF&E vendor.
agreement-
(between the owner and the contractor). it briefly describes the work of the contract and simply states the project schedule and the contract sum.
conditions of the contract
establishes the duties and responsibilies of the contruction or FF & E vendor, the owner and the designer, even though the designer does not sign the owner-contractor agreement.
general conditions
standardized documents. contains the provisions that are common among contracts and are included without annotation.
supplementary conditions
customized document modifying the duties and responsibilites of the construction or FF & E contractor, the owner, and the designer as described in the general conditions.
specifications
describes the quality of materials and their construction (for construction contracts) or installation (for FF & E) contracts.
drawings
shows the shape and form of the space as well as the quantities, sizes, and location sof materials and products.
contract modifications
changes to the construction or FF & E documents.
change order
a written modificaiton altering the contract sum
change directive
a written contract modification when the consequent alteration of the contract sum or schedule has not yet been agreed upon.
supplemental instruction
an interpretation or clarification of the contract documents by the designer that does not alter the contract sum or schedule.
