What is his thesis?
1- Self determination is a right to VAE.
2- Rachel's argument on the fact that tere is no difference between killing someone and letting them die.
3-VAE being de-criminalized will bring more good than bad (Greatest Happiness Principle)
4- VAE is compatible with the ends of medicine.
1- respect for patient's self determination
2- VAE is already available to some illegally, VAE being legal would be safer.

1- The right to control one's body. S Cal- the right to control one's body should not be the right to end one's life.
2- Necessity of autonomy. S. Cal- autonomy=responsibility.
3- Fetal life is not absolute. S. Cal- all life is equally valuable.
4- Social equality. S. Cal- abortion is masculine. Full social equality will require feminization.
"Fetuses are persons, therefore all person's have a right to live. Abortion ends life, therefore violates its right to live."
Thompson replies: ppl dont always have a right to life, if abortion is wrong it isn't because fetuses are persons, it is wrong for other reasons.
