try to figure out people's likes, values, attitudes and opinions – similarity is valued in this stage

Intensifying Stage

displays of affection begin in this stage, nicknames and terms of endearment – expression of positive regard ( I love you's) – using pronouns (us, we, our)

Integrating Stage

you are a couple, joint invitations, we can predict what the other person will say, complete each others sentences, “our song”, joint bank accounts, merging of social networks

Bonding Stage

public declaring commitment, maid of honor, best man, godparent, blood brother or sisters, engagements
