The Fall of Aksum Had a long run because of technological and cultural advances When Islams conquered Arabia they were isolated Islamic Invaders Between 632 and 750 AD the people of Islam took over most of the Mediterranean Because during the rise of Aksum they protected Muhammad's family, these invaders did not invade, Aksumites could still trade Eventually the Muslims destroyed the port of Adulis and took over Aksum Isolated Aksum was cut off from their allies and trade routes so they were forced to migrate to modern day Northern Ethiopia The geographic differences crippled the Aksumites and led to their fall Though it was a long lasting Kingdom, Aksum never expanded further than the peninsula
