in the Soviet Union everything became government property under communism. Farms could no longer be privatly owned and profits were shared.
in Italy their leader outlawed freedom of press and speach.
the occurance of these events is caused by independence movements leading to civil wars--WWI lead to civil wars in individual countries, such as Russia where the communists were batteling anti-communists
women--women were expected to take over the jobs previously held by men who were currently fighting in the war
african americans-- fought in the war along side white americans
asian americans--placed in "concentration camps" during the war because americans theought they would side with China during the war
women--after the war they were expected to let the men take their jobs back. lead the the demand of women's rights
asian and african americans--demanded racial equality
1) non-aggressive--groups who had little power before such as african americans used this tactic to shape social movements
2) political arguments--individuals were determined to gain more independence; women wanted the same status they had suring the war
3)independence--same reasoning as non-aggressive
