Semi-Colon- a punctuation mark used to join independent clauses that are not already joined by a conjution
Ex. The swimmer was one of the fastest swimmers ever; he broke world records at the olympics.
Colon- a punctuation mark used before and extended quotation,explanation, example, or series and after the salutation in a formalletter
Ex. Their are 3 ingridients i put in my spaghetti: sausage, mushrooms, and peppers.
Comma- a punctuation mark used to separate words or group of words
Ex. It was hot outside, but i still went to play basketball.

Past Tense- verbs completed in the past

Present Tense- verb completed in the present

Future Tense- verb completed in the future

Future Perfect Tense- talks about the past in the future
I wouldnt have did my homework today.
Active Tense- the subject of an active verb sentence performs the action of the verb
I threw the football.
Passive Tense- the subject of a passive voice sentenceis still the main character of the sentence, but something else performs theaction
They threw the football past me.
Common Nouns- A general noun is a Person, Place or thing
Ex. Food
Specific Noun- It is a specific person place or thing.
