Formative/ pre-assessment used in class. 1. Teacher asked what is quality classroom assessment? 2. Had class write 3 words/phrases that expressed their opinion. 4. Had students stand when finished. 5. Had students each say one of them out loud. 6. Told students to sit when all ideas on their page were mentioned. 7. Then had students group the things mentioned in order to come with collective whole ideas.
This allowed students to play a role in the information rather than simply giving them the answers.
