Conjugal society is created by a contract, husband and wife have to choose each other. Having children (a natural form of subordination and the child does not choose). Political power, the subject is not born subject to a government. The subject has to choose or do something in order to become subordinated to government power. The subject has to pledge allegiance and promise to obey a government.
