1739- This was the largest slave uprising in the Americas prior to the Revolutionary War. It occurred in the colony of South Carolina and about 80 enslaved Africans marched South of the Stono River and killed about 20 Whites.
DOMINION OF NEW ENGLAND
1686-1689- James || joined together 5 New England colonies into this. This union was governed by Sir Edmund Andros.
1688- Mary and her husband, the Duke of Orange were called upon by the English people to take over the throne from James || in fear that his son would become a catholic king. James || fled to France and Mary and her husband became the English monarch.
These were men who established colonies in the Americas and thereby governed the people who lived there.
The economic doctrine that England government used to control foreign trade in order to ensure the nation's prosperity.
In late 1600s, this merchant took the capital of lower New York and ruled it from 1689 to 1691. He did this because he was inspired by the representative government in England because of the Glorious Revolution.

This man was the governor appointed to the colony of Georgia in 1732. He made Georgia the only non-slavery colony but this idea quickly failed because few people wanted to live without slavery.
