Socrates is imprisoned, waiting for his death sentence. His friend Crito is attempting to convince him to run away? Socrates? predicament is either to run away from his sentence or to be executed unjustly. Crito tries to convince Socrates to leave because? He doesn?t want to be deprived of Socrates? wisdom. Socrates abandoning his children is unjust. Socrates? peers will look bad in the eyes of the majority; they were too cheap to help, too cowardly. Socrates is helping his enemies complete an unjust action- accepting injustice.
