Pertaining to the mysteriousness and gracefulness of a play. Especially focused on the beauty of the play’s impermanence.
Noh Drama: Part 1
Waki comes in and goes down the bridge and into the greenroom and tells everyone the circumstances of the play. Season, place, themes, ect.
Noh Drama: part 2
Shite comes in (usually with Tsure). Shite moves down the bridge singing an entrance song without revealing his identity. Waki asks the Shite many questions and the Chorus sings a song. Shite does a dance and asks for prayer before leaving.
Noh Drama: part 3
Kyu: rush to the end Waki sings a song and the Shite comes back in revealing his true identity. The Waki prays for the Shite and the Shite goes on the the afterlife.
A deity disguised as a man later reveals himself in the play to be a God.
