SRP is protein that binds to the signal peptide once it emerges from ribosom and brings it to the RER for further translation. Signal peptidase cleaves the signal peptide once it emerges from ER lumen. SRP is a ribonuclear protein composed of amino acids and nucleic acids, associated with ribosomes and utilized energy from GTPase to do this.
