-astrocytes-support cells, control extracellular environment of neurons -microglia-"immune system" of the CNS -spendymal cells-ciliated, involved w/ production of CSF & CSF movement -oligodendrocytes-responsible for myelin.
Glial Cells of the PNS
-satellite cells & Schwann cells -satellite cells surround neuron bodies located in the PNS -Schwann cells surround & form myelin sheaths around the larger nerve fibers. These are vital to regeneration & proper nerve signal conduction.
