protect, delivering revelation, encourage & motivate men of God, to free captured & to strengthen men, execute judgment
three eminent truths about the strength of angels
the power of angels is dependent & derived from God, their strength must be employed in accordance with the laws of the spiritual & material worlds, their interference "with the freedom & responsibility of men" is not allowed.
Angels &: God, Christ, the church, nature, guardian angels, the nations, the lost, the second advent, then eternal state
Angels & God
the foremost responsibility of angels will always center around ministering & offering due adoration to God.
Angels & Christ
Predicted His Birth, announced His Birth, Warned of Herod's plot, ministry after temptation & before betrayal, at the arrest, rolled stone at tomb, announced the resurrection, ascension of Christ, return of Christ, execute judgment pronounced by Christ
Angels & the Church
Angels observe & report our worship, order & ministry to God; Ministering (Physical ministry: guide, comfort, & defend) to prevent the success of the devil's attacks; intercession for us
Angels & Nature
Rev 7:1 describes angels as having control of nature
Give physical protection to the people of God, their is no proof that individuals each have their own guardian angel.
Angels & the Nations
The prophet Daniel wrote that as Israel passes through the Great Tribulation, Michael the Archangel will help protect the nation.
Angels & the Lost
God will use angels to warn of the coming judgment (like He did with Sodom), they will also be used to cast the lost into their assigned place of punishment at the end of the ages, & they stand in opposition to the lost but rejoice when a sinner accepts the LORD.
Angels & the Second Advent
angels will return w/Christ showing praise & glory to Him; gather unbelievers for judgment; gather believers & allow them to enter the millennial kingdom; assist binding satan & his demonic host and cast them into hell.
Angels & the Eternal State
they will serve in a subordinate position to God and to the believers.
